Hurricane season began on June 1st and ends on November 30th, with the peak months for hurricane and tropical storm development being August and September. As we come into these next few months, please be sure you are well prepared and have a plan in place for the what-ifs.
Many of your neighbors are new to Florida and have not experienced the damage that a hurricane can do. Others live alone and/or have significant physical challenges that make it difficult to prepare for a storm and its aftermath properly. Use and share the helpful tips below with your neighbors and loved ones to ensure our community is ready for hurricane season.
In addition to stocking up on supplies and reviewing your emergency plans, please ensure the HOA office has your most up-to-date contact information. If you've recently changed your phone number or email address, or if you'll be traveling and have someone watching your home, this information is essential for communication during any weather-related event.
