A group of us got together at the local library to discuss how we were going to enrich our lives in retirement. Led by Jerry Neuwelt, our founding father and first club president, we took a line from an old movie, “Strike up the Band,” as we turned to each other and said, “Okay kids, let’s put on a show.” We didn’t know where it would be held as the Clubhouse hadn’t as yet been built. But we had faith, and our first production,“The Ponte Vecchio Follys,” about the “folly” of being pioneers in a new community, opened on our own stage on March 2 and 3, 2002.
It was early 2001 and, in between unpacking and setting up our new homes in Ponte Vecchio, a smash hit! Over the years we’ve become a family, always welcoming new people into our group of talented residents who laugh, cry and applaud each other’s antics on stage.

Live out your fantasies, your dreams, your desires. We are a special (one-of-a-kind) club. If you haven't
seen one of our shows then you don't know what you're missing. Join Us! If you can sing, dance, act, play
a musical instrument, then share your talent and have fun at the same time. We always need behind the
scene members as well. The show could not go on without the assistance of Hair and Makeup volunteers,
costumes, props, stage sets, lighting, audio booth, writers, videography, etc.
Come to our meetings and explore any number of essential creative, administrative and support functions
that go into delivering successful shows year after year. Don't miss out on the fun, the cast parties, the re-
hearsals and all the excitement that makes the PV Players what we are.
